Rima Rana

Graduate Student (Ph.D) in Pharmacology Department, Wayne State University, US

Rima is a graduate student at Wayne State University. She is interested in role of cell adhesion molecules (CAM) in neuron generation. She uses in-vivo and in-vitro techniques to understand how developing neurons use CAM during neuronal circuit formation.  Rima completed her master’s in pharmacology from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, India. She was honored with gold medal for being the excellent student of the year from the university for her graduate degree. She is experienced in plant based pharmacological research and in rat model. She has extensive experience in teaching pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, human anatomy & physiology and community pharmacy at diploma and undergraduate level. She taught in Mallige College of Pharmacy, India, Kantipur College of Medical Sciences (KCMS) and Valley College of Technical Sciences (VCTS), Nepal. Rima is also a registered pharmacist in Nepal. She has also worked in hospital pharmacy and online pharmacy. Her research interests in neuroscience with focus on neurodegenerative disorder.
